Super Sized Sweater
When I got this sweater (thrift store find) it fit me perfectly...but of course persnickety me, was not happy enough with that. Instead, I wanted it 3 sizes bigger! And so after hand washing, stretching, and pulling the poor old sweater, it finally met my approval. When it comes to my sweaters, super size it please!
I hope you all are having a fantastic week!

From Day To Day
Despite what I have led you to believe on this blog, I am not lounging around at home wearing pretty dresses everyday (I'm a stay at home wife). This outfit is actually more of my everyday uniform (if I actually get my butt out of the house, that is). Oversized sweaters and jeggings, rules my closet, and it's very blah, I know. For casual wear I'm very comfort driven even though the fashionista side begs to differ. It would be ideal if I could be more polished and classy like Audrey Hepburn or sophisticated and funky like Aimee from Song of Style, just to name two of the fashionista's whose style I adore. But this is my reality. However, I wouldn't have it any other way and I am quite a happy girl!
These pictures were taken on our front porch. Our porch still needs some finishing touches, but I like the clean and simple look so far, so I don't think I will be adding much more to it. If you are a new reader, just to keep you updated, we got this house over half a year ago. If you want to see more of our home, click here. I will do an update post soon because I made some slight changes.
Have a fabulous weekend! And to all of my new readers, it's nice to meet you and I will stay in touch!

On The Fifth Day Of Sweaters
On the fifth day of sweaters, my true love gave to me: a sack-like, versatile, sweatshirt.
I was actually napping with this sweatshirt on today when my phone rings (it was hubs) and woke me up. It was 4pm and I only had half an hour left of daylight to take pictures. I jumped out of bed and hastily prepped for the pictures and at the same time thought up of some ideas of how I wanted to portray this sweater. I decided to take on a fashion challenge and wear the sweatshirt in a non-conventional way. I totally wore it the complete polar opposite of what it's intended for. I took this humble ole' sweatshirt (and my napping, grungy self) and tossed in some pearls and lace and in no time-flat: VIOLA! From bum to glam!
Well guys, this is the last day of my 5 Days of Sweaters project...and it's been a challenge, I tell ya! The behind the scenes aren't so pretty and required alot of begging and sometimes bribing my husband and brother (to take the pictures), closet digging, changing and trying on outfits, and all other ingredients of hard work! Who knew that taking pictures for every weekday could be so much work? Would I do something like this again? You betcha. I am already coming up with ideas. But I'm ready to go on Holiday mode even though I will still be posting frequently! Got some ideas lined up to post about. Wishing you a good weekend!

On The Fourth Day Of Sweaters
On the fourth day of sweaters, my true love gave to me: A black-furry knitted thing.
I wasn't sure if this short-sleeved furry thing should be categorized as a sweater. It seems to have a category all of it's own. But I only wear it at winter time and that pretty much sums up my definition of a sweater. About this dress, I bought this collared, gothic-inspired dress years ago when I lived in New York. I think the theatric appearance really appealed to me. As one that has an appreciation for dramatic photography, I knew this dress belongs in these type of photos. I'm thinking about taking it out again for more pictures soon just for photography's sake. Hopefully, next time I can capture the beautiful lace details in the collar that this furry thing/sweater covered up.

On The Third Day Of Sweaters
On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: a chunky-tealish sweater.
Chunky sweater with chunky boots: I think it's official, I like my style very exaggerated. I intentially smiled more in these photos after yesterdays' somber face. Clothing are like costumes sometimes, you act the way you are dressed. And I would say uber-fringey boots can't be taken too seriously. And plus, I get tired of somber faces easily.
Hope you are having a great week! We are half-way to the weekend guys! And almost through the month. But let's not talk about that because I am nowhere done Christmas shopping and done with 2012 yet. Are you?!

On The Second Day Of Sweaters
On the Second Day of Sweaters, my true love gave to me: A knitted, burgundy hoodie.
While I was looking at these pictures, my imagination went into overdrive and conjured up a dangerous, butt kicking, heroine or protagonist from a TV show or thriller novel for some reason. Maybe it's the hoodie or lace boots, but I can totally see myself fighitng evil villains, zombies, and vampires in the dark hours with this outfit on. That could explain the "take me serious or I will make your regret it" face that I'm making in all of these pics lol! In all honesty though, I am as harmless as a kitten.
So, I get a little behind with fashion trends sometimes and I have a good reason for this. I am very cautious about adapting what's in style, including this leather/pleather legging trend. I went back and forth about getting one because, besides that money doesn't grow on trees, I wanted to make sure I really really like it. And ok, the main reason is that I just wanted to make sure that really really cute guy in my life likes it too. It turns out we both like it and so here I am wearing one. Bet you didn't know the complicated thinking process it took just to put these black leggings on, did you? Yes, I'm such a girl.

On The First Day Of Sweaters
On the First Day of Sweaters, my true love gave to me: A baggy and striped sweater.
The first thing this sweater reminded me of is that the material is uniquely like those Mexican hoodies that are ubiquitous in downtown San Antonio, except minus the hoodie of course. It does the job of a sweater really well for being warm, cozy, and hiding any Holiday weight gain. It takes some effort not to wear it everyday especially with all the special Holiday truffles and goodies that I've been over consuming. In my defense, they only come this time of the year!
Hoping you have a great start on your week!

Have a Great Weekend!
Hey guys! This is my first gif and a sneak peak of a little blog project I have for the following week called The Five Days of Sweaters. For every weekday, I am going to blog about a favorite snuggly, cozy, sweater of mine. I was not sure if this was a good idea because there goes half of my closet and what casual clothes will I blog about then?! Micah (my husband) would roll his eyes if he saw that last comment. Well, I guess there are always my dresses to fall back on. And who knows? Maybe Santa will be good to me this year and bring me lots of clothes to blog about!
I hope your weekend is going great! Ours is going wonderfully, even though we're trying to cross out some things off our "to do" list (to do lists should be taboo for weekends). One of them is to take photos for Christmas cards. You can bet I'm gonna share it with you when they are printed. Have a fantastic weekend!

Raglan Ruffian
I dream about wearing lace, frills, and glitter everyday, but my reality is that I am actually a lazy and grungy young lady most days. Although this outfit is not my grungiest, it's an example of my comfort driven but chic casual choices. That's even if I get my butt out of the house that is! And today I did, because I had a very serious mission to accomplish for my dear husband. I went to the mall to search for a "nerdy Christmas sweater" for him for an event he has to go to for work. Boy, was it the hardest shopping mission I've been sent on, and I consider myself an expert buyer! These sweaters are as rare as spotting a reindeer it feels like! But, alas after some mall pretzels, a good thorough browse through Forever21, and trying on shoes I knew I was not going to buy, I found him one! Although it was not as nerdy as I hoped it would be...I wanted him to cringe when putting that thing on. But that didn't happen.
HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A FANTASTIC WEEK AND THAT THE HOLIDAYS AREN'T MAKING YOU GROW HORNS (REINDEER ONES THAT IS)!
