Emerald

024

Happy St. Patty's Day! I wore this sassy green dress so no pinches for me today. My husband and I are teetotalers but I still propose a toast "to big drapey dresses!" I hope your weekend is going great =)

House Update in Pictures

DSC_3864
1.) The Chrismas wreath I made back in early November.

2.) Our comfy and handsome livingroom. "Handsome" seems like the proper word because it is more on the masculine side. Above the couch is the collage of family photos that we are still working on. We have some gorgeous gold frames that are still pictureless. Can't wait to update you with the finished project.

3.) Our fun and rustic reclaimed wood cart. Everytime we have kids over they want to ride on it. Yeah, it's not very childproof.

3.) My updated indoor garden. I am growing some herbs this year. Can't wait until they yield me my own grown tasty herbs!

4.) The piano where the more colorful things in the house hang out. Kind of plain but it's not the final product.Still playing around with ideas with what I want to do with this space. But it will do for now.

Holiday Dresses

DSC_3647

Here we go again...an ultra-feminine post! There is so much girliness in this post that you are going to want to chew some beef jerky and watch some football afterwards, just so you know, you can feel normal again.
Scored this classy, silk dress from a consigment shop. Aaaaahhh, silk dresses, I can't get enough of you! You can guess what's on my Christmas list this year (okay, it's on there every year). Silk is my favorite fabric, or did I say that about lace? No matter, I LOVE SILK! Silk in every form: chanteuse, chiffon, satin, I will take it! Are you guys obsessed with any fabric like me? Just wondering if I'm being weird again.
If you are looking to add to your already book-long Christmas list, I have compiled a list of my top 10 favorite Holiday dresses just for you (okay and me):
1.) Black wrap dress with gold sequined shoulders from Modcloth.
2.) Sparkly black dress from Madewell.
3.) (Splurge-alert) Red Silky Dress from J-Crew.
4.) Gold lace dress from Anthropologie.
5.) Boho Sequin and Jacquard Dress from Anthropologie.
6.) (My absolute favorite!) Neon Red Lace Dress from Anthropologie.
7.) Dark green dress with watercolor pattern from Shopruche.
8.) (Splurge-alert) Showstopper gold dress from Nordstrom by Topshop.
9.) Gold Sequined dress from Free People.
10.) Bronze sequined shift dress from Nordstrom.
